The firm's 10 refineries operated at 100.7 per cent of their installed capacity, IOC said in a statement here. "For the sixth year in a row capacity utilisation of more than 100 per cent was achieved despite planned maintenance shut downs," IOC Director (Refineries) RajKumar Ghosh said.

Refineries recorded highest-ever combined distillate yield at 78.1 per cent, surpassing the previous best of 77.8 per cent last year. IOC's Gujarat and Panipat refineries recorded the highest ever distillate yield of 78.2 and 82.4 per cent respectively, surpassing the previous best of 78.0 and 82.3 per cent in 2011-12.
Company's 10 refineries produced 2.12 million tonnes of LPG, 5.80 million tonnes of petrol and 24.46 million tonnes of diesel in 2012-13. In addition, they produced 1.292 million tonnes of Euro-IV petrol and 3.86 million tonnes of Euro-IV diesel.
Ghosh said the company was focused on commissioning a 15 million tonnes per annum Paradip refinery in Orissa this year.
